Jurong Bird Park in Singapore: Watch The Birdies

The Jurong Bird Park contains an amazing collection of birds. This was our third visit in four trips to Singapore, this time with a group of FlyerTalkers. A group of frequent flyers visited a bird zoo, you say? No jokes about bird brains please!

We watched two great shows, the Fuji World of Hawks (Birds of Prey Show), and the Birds n Buddies Show. Let's start off with one of the stars of the latter singing his version of Happy Birthday...

The weather was cool for Singapore, so we were able to stay a little longer than the last time, snapping photos and saving the visit to the penguin exhibit to the very end as a cooling-off treat. The various birds of prey were impressive to see, especially when they swooped just above the heads of the crowd.

Parrots flew from one side of the Pools Amphitheatre to the other, zipping through rings held up by members of the audience, criss-crossing each other through a ring, and even breaking a paper barrier stretched across one of the rings.

A couple of parrots playing an avian version of basketball...

Big birds, little birds, beautiful birds, ugly birds, clever birds, and even somewhat stupid birds... As on past visits, we came with feelings amounting to awe...
