Another Alsace Winery

It's a rugged schedule but somebody has to do it... Wolfberger is actually a co-op. One of our affable ex-pat British tour guides sells the grapes from his vines here, and he showed as much pride as any Frenchmen at the quality of the resulting wines.

The French wine market is highly regulated and extremely complicated to outsiders, and we came to realize more than ever how vitally important the concept of Terroir is to the French.

A co-op where one of our guides sells his  grapes...
