The Kissing Sailor Of Civitavecchia

We still haven't learned how one of these statues ended up in Civitavecchia Italy. It is, after all, based on the iconic photo of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square during celebrations marking the end of World War II. Is it a copy of Unconditional Surrender in? We don't know but there it is.

Once we'd viewed the statue we wandered around for awhile, enjoying the sights of the town.

We also sat in a little cafe sipping a very pleasant chocolate-infused espresso while Kathy caught up on e-mail and Words With Friends on her iPod Touch.
