Bye-Bye Bermuda

Hamilton, Bermuda on Riviera

The first port of our transatlantic cruise after two full sea days.

Our cabin is somewhere there on the port side.

We've kept busy with table tennis and team trivia.

Moon Over Miami

Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon

Last night we stayed st a nearby Hampton Inn. Tonight we stay st the Hilton Blue Lagoon, where we met up with Kathy's brother and sister-in-law, Bentley and Brenda.

How suite it is on the 14th floor. Thank you, Hilton!

The windows are dirty, but the expansive view is fairly spectacular.

Miami Airport Area: Amor di Pasta

We found this little joint that's within a five-minute walk of our Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon.

We really enjoyed it, even if we thought the friendly young servers were Italian rather than Cuban (this IS Miami).

We met the owner afterwards, a charming fellow born in Germany to Italian parents who spent four years in Kenya.

Excellent!

Basil on the tables...

A pleasant Caprese...

A trio...

Gnocchi...

YVR Early in the Morning

Not much sleep at the Hampton Inn last night but that was us.

A nice shuttle driver gave us an early ride to the airport. Brian managed to get his boarding pass after failing online yesterday.

US Immigration opens at 4:30, this morning a bit later.

The Plaza Premium Lounge, where we have access, opened at  5. It has the slowest coffee machine we've seen. We finally got coffee about 5:15 and gulped some down before heading to the gate.

For some reason, Alaska needed more information from Kathy's passport. It's been interesting so far.

Anyway, we're aboard.

R&H in Lansdowne Centre, Richmond BC

In Richmond near Vancouver International Airport on the eve of our flight to Florida via Seattle,  we returned to R&H Chinese Food in Lansdowne Centre for a very early dinner.

The closest parking is off Kwantlen. Look for this entrance.

The ambience is of the mall food court variety.

But the food! The food court was busy with families late Sunday afternoon, and two R&H employees were kept busy making xaio long bao and other dumplings.

We ordered pork and green onion boiled dumplings, beef rolls, and - naturally - xaio long bao.

The bill totaled US $24.78. The food came out promptly. It was as delicious as ever.

We'll have fond memories when our alarm rings at 3:15AM.

Home Cooking

We've been suffering from bad colds (flu?) for nearly a week, but we're feeling better with some home cooking.
