Waiting at YVR

One annoying aspect of Cathay was that we had to check our small carryons...

All aboard for YVR

Cathay's The Wing at HKG

Closer to our gate so we had to check it out but no comparison to The Bridge - hot and crowded... We did find the Noodle Bar toward the back, slightly less crowded and a large choice of soups.

Dining at Cathay Pacific's Bridge Lounge at HKG

It's right up there with, say, SQ's SIN Kris Flyer Lounge...

HKG: Always Spectacular

HKG Cathay Pacific's Bridge Lounge

It's quite new and quite spectacular - a cozy place to settle in with a glass of Piper, even if non-vintage.

The T Hotel: One Last Look

Out our window on a reasonably sunny Monday morning...

Monday Is Fly Day

We check out of the T hotel in about 14 hours at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning.

We fly CX 838, departing HKG at 4:25 p.m. and landing at YVR at 12:45 p.m. in an 11-hour 20-minute flight, if all goes according to plan.

Unlike our MLE-HKG redeye flight, we'll plan to stay awake long enough to sample Cathay's wine and cuisine.

Our Last Dinner at The T Hotel

Lamb Curry and house-made sausage platter. Tasty...

Sunday Evening at The T Hotel

Walking Down The Pok Fu Lam Reservoir Road

The T Hotel: Tablecloth Protocol

We watched at dinner as a young student worked for 10-15 minutes with a spray bottle of water to make a tablecloth look just right.
