A Tip About Travel Tips Articles

The tip? Skim them very quickly. There's often more chaff than wheat.

Some of these articles are full of tips that are blindingly obvious, silly or just plain wrong. ("If you dress well for your flight and ask the gate agent politely you're more likely to be upgraded to First Class.")

Every once in awhile, though, we actually come across a few tips that strike us as useful, handy, and - best of all - new to us.

For example...

For us numbers 2 and 13 are novel and potentially useful. (We stuff our shoes with socks and underwear to maintain the shoes' shape while utilizing otherwise empty space for easily-compressible items that wrinkles don't affect.)

Numbers 1, 3, and 5 on the other hand...
