Bangkok River City: Riverview Coffee Shop & Restaurant

Last night we decided to try out this joint, intrigued by the fact it had been closed for a private party the previous evening. The Riverview Coffee Shop & Restaurant. Which is it? A coffee shop or a restaurant. Fortunately for our plans, it turned out to be the latter.

It's somewhat hidden away on the second floor of the River City Centre, and hasn't yet garnered a Trip Advisor review, although we expect it will soon.

It was a quiet Sunday night here, although we'd seen tourists in fair numbers riding the various dinner boats up and down the river. We were seated at the window with a view of the Chao Phraya, something we never tire of.

The menu is very large. Since it was the night before a flying day, we decided to play it safe with some of our favorites, starting with Spring Rolls...

Papaya Salad...
Pad Kee Mao...
Steamed Vegetables with Pork...
We each tried a Chang beer, Thailand's "other" beer and it went well with the food.

Our total bill for this enjoyable dining experience was about US $30.Not a bad way to spend our final evening in Bangkok this trip... not bad at all.
