It was a remote gate so we took a crowded bus out to the plane.
The flight itself was fine. We were served a cute little lunch in our bulkhead Business Class seats.
We parked at a gate in Munich, but it was a long walk to get to the entrance to Terminal Two, the location of the Hilton. Kathy's leg is getting tired and sore after 15 hours of sitting interspersed with long walks in three airports.
Our room isn't ready at 2:00 p.m. But it's guaranteed by 3:00 p.m. It's at least a spacious lobby to hang out in for an hour or so.
When we think of the times we've gotten 9:00 a.m. check-ins after an overnight long-haul flight, we don't feel bad having to wait an hour.
Update: the young clerk approached us just after 2:30 with a key to our room, located in the brand new wing.
It looks like a lovely spot to take a nap.
