Our Best Meal in Lucca So Far: L'Isola Che Non C'Era

"The Island That Wasn't There..." What an evocative name that is. We learned subsequent to our visit that the owner's name is Isola and that the phrase is the Italian translation of Never-Never Land (actually Never Land in Peter Pan, if we recall correctly). How many puns and bits  of wordplay we miss in foreign languages!

The reality is a bright and friendly family run restaurant that doubles as a delicatessen.

It's very well rated on Trip Advisor and we're glad we tried it.

We shared a Caprese Salad (the freshest mozzarella we've ever tasted) and followed it with pasta.

Kathy loved her ravioli with truffle sauce, although she was somewhat bemused by the aluminum foil presentation.

Brian thoroughly enjoyed the seafood pasta.

We'll be back.
