We did drop by the Notting Hill Carnival. It was way too crowded for us, but interesting to see in daylight. When we mentioned to one of the exceptionally friendly London Bobbies giving us directions to the nearest Tube that it was too much action for us, he replied, "You wouldn't want to be here later." Another one said, "It's too much for me too. I'm coming with you."
