Hanoi: Walking Toward The Old Quarter

We wandered from the hotel, located on the edge of the Old Quarter, as far as the famous Hoan Kiem Lake. We felt quite brave crossing the streets and a big roundabout, walking slowly as the locals do.

One of the highlights was an encounter with four young tourism students. Their assignment was to survey foreigners and of course they found two willing subjects in us.

Their English was excellent and they were thoroughly charming. From there it was back to the hotel.
