In Ho Chi Minh City they say Pho to rhyme with "Fa" as in Do Re Mi Fa.
In Hanoi they pronounce it to rhyme with "Huh." The young Executive Lounge attendant told us that they sometimes have trouble understanding the people from HCMC.
Of course we already knew that southern accents can be difficult.
