Alsace Lunch: Choucroute and "Hot Pot"

We both enjoyed our meal choices. This of course is the part of France historically imbued with Germanic influence, and that extends beyond architecture and place names into the cuisine. Kathy is always ready for Choucroute Garnie, and Brian's Baeckeofe, translated as a "Hot Pot" on the menu, is a hearty example of Alsatian comfort food. 



And genuinely flaming Crème Brûlée for dessert... magnifique!
