Travel Time

We're up early this morning and getting ready for the first leg of a long trip.

Having found a bargain business class fare on Emirates Airlines from Dallas to Mumbai via Dubai (DFW-DXB-BOM), we're repositioning ourselves all the way from Bellingham (BLI) to Dallas  (DAL) today via Seattle (SEA).

This will be our first time landing at Dallas-Love Field (DAL), and possibly our longest flight ever on an Embraer 170/175 (twin-jet), a total of 1670 miles.

Fortunately we'll be sitting in first class, and we've found that quite pleasant on E170s in the past.

Tomorrow we fly from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Dubai (DXB), 8,020 miles, 16 hours 15 minutes - at one point the world's 18th longest commercial flight.

We'll be on a Boeing 777-300ER, not an A380, and looking forward to trying out Emirates for the first time.

All aboard our Q400 at BLI...
