A Happy New Year of Travel in 2010

We experienced a busy and quite fantastic December, welcoming Blane to the world December 7 in Alabama while having fun with big sister Riley. That was followed by more good times with Lily, Peyton, Avery, Taegan and Jake in Birch Bay Christmas Day. The beautiful weather allowed us to walk down to the beach December 26, play at the playground, and throw rocks in the ocean.

It's now definitely winter in the Northwest. We're sitting at our computers on a rainy New Year's Day hatching plans for 2010 travel.

We finalized a trip to Singapore in January, coupled with a couple of days on the ground in Tokyo on the way back, our first actual stopover there, although we've transited at Narita Airport (NRT) quite a number of times. Even though this will be our fourth trip to SIN (great airport code for conservative Singapore, isn't it?), it will be first our time for fun and fellowship at the FlyerTalk SIN Do. We're looking forward to seeing friendly FlyerTalkers from one or another previous Do, and to meet others for the first time.

February is a big month for cruising. First we're sailing on a Disney Caribbean cruise with Avery, Peyton, and Lily, along with their parents. We're following this up with a South American cruise around the horn on Oceania's Insignia with Kathy's brother, Greg, and his wife, June.

We picked up two cheap United Vacation packages in April, weekend-type trips to Edmonton and Quebec City.

Toward the end of May we return to Australia to attend our fourth consecutive FlyerTalk OZ FEST DO, this one in Adelaide.

In October we're flying to Thailand with Kathy's brother Tom, and his wife, Ellyn.

That's all we have lined up so far - lots of gaps to fill in that schedule... time to start looking at travel sites again.
