We luckily got a 3:00 a.m. free upgrade to First and enjoyed this short flight sitting in bulkhead with lots of space. Yes, it was a pleasant surprise to be served tasty sliders by our lovely flight attendant on this 1:40 p.m. flight.
We caught some nice views on our way down, including the rugged coastline and both of San Francisco's great bridges.
We had to wait just before parking at the gate to let an Emirates A380 turn around. We didn't mind as it's always fun to see these big guys up close. Our captain said we could see why a nickname for the 380 is "the forehead," a new one to us, but confirmed with a search.
