We're sitting in the Parlor Car on the Coast Starlight, having left Sacramento a few minutes ago, ahead of schedule actually. The attendant just turned on the Internet, a somewhat cumbersome procedure, so we're connected until more than five people try at the same time.
We slept decently, and Tom and Ellyn are still in their bedroom. It looks like a beautiful morning - although we've just into some fog, not uncommon around these parts - and we're looking forward to a day of sightseeing on our way to L.A.
