There's a big conference on and the Hilton was sold out last night, while we snagged the HI Express as our annual free night from our IHG credit card.
It's basic but clean and comfortable. We'd stay at either hotel again. Come to think of it, we will be on the way back.
We dined here last night and found it much better than the more negative reviews suggest, including locally sourced wurst.
Our napping habit caught up to us and we lay awake for several hours in the early a.m. Oh well...
We reserved the 8:00 a.m. bus (free for Platinum members, otherwise 5 Euros per person) and arrived at Terminal 2, Space 11 in good time.
Our rollaboards were about 1kg. over Lufthansa's 8kg. limit, so we checked them for the first time this trip and made our way via walking and subway train to K, about 45 minutes at our snail's space from the time we left the hotel.
Kathy is already up at the bar in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge, but only for the purpose of finding still water in a European sparkling water environment.
We fly to Malta at 10:35 on LH 1976, with a scheduled arrival of 12:50. It looks like an easy day, but we'll find out within the next few hours.
