Jaipur Sightseeing

En route to other sites, we pass a fairly typical street scene.

Suddenly we're at the Gatore Ki Chhatriyan,a royal crematorium. The cenotaph in the middle was built in honor of the famous maharajahs who went up in smoke here. We find ourselves face to face with macaque monkeys and viewing an Indian version of the Great Wall.

Then we're driving again, with plenty of sights to see right out the car window.

  1. The old capital of the Kachhwahas stands atop a range of craggy hills. The fort is remarkable as much for the majestic grandeur of its surroundings as for its sturdy battlements and beautiful palaces.
