Bangkok’s Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market

We take the MRT to the end of the line at Bang Wa, and then grab a taxi for a 20-minute ride (about $3) to Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market.

This isn’t Bangkok’s biggest floating market, but some folks claim it’s the best, because it’s not as overrun with us tourists.

Great to wander and to pick up a cheap lunch.

Garlic...

This is more of an open market with some boats along the canal at one end.

We try a traditional Thai dessert made of coconut milk and rice, along with some gyoza.

Our next choice is a delicious plate of pork.

We check out tilapia on a grill.

We top off our lunch with spiral deep fried potato chips.

A fun outing.
