The proprietor recommended freshly caught king fish, a variety of mackerel, and dentex, often referred to as a tsar fish that is in the same family as sea bream. The restaurant maintains its own fishing boat, Oscar, and the proprietor proudly told us these were swimming in the ocean two hours earlier.
We started with a generous appetizer of bruschettas, including polpo (octopus).
Then it was show time as the fish was served.
The results were two contrasting and delicious dishes.
We all enjoyed catching up and discussing last-minute travel details.
Friday Mauro will drive us to a shuttle bus, which will deliver us to Marina. The next 23 days look like this.
