Adios in Canberra

After a long night of sleep for us, we were up early for a walk, and then joined Bill and Sue for coffee.

We checked out of the Crowne Plaza after our pleasant two-night stay.

Bill and Sue drove us to the train station, we said our goodbyes after a great visit, and then we were off on our four-hour train ride to Sydney.

Oddly enough, Sue's new car is a Subaru Outback of the same vintage as ours, other than the steering wheel being on the other side.

Once at Sydney Central, we found our way to the T1, and rode 30 minutes to McQuarrie Park. There we rode up not one but two long escalators to reach street level.

A one-block walk down the street led us to the Courtyard by Marriott, where we were rewarded with a friendly welcome and an upgrade to a suite.

From the balcony we can see central Sydney.

Not bad!
