Tantalizing Thekkady in Kerala, India

We relaxed at the hotel in the morning, taking a brief walking tour of the property with the manager.

It's probably the only place we've stayed st that grows its own coffee beans on the premises, and great coffee it is.

Biju picked is at 1:15 and drove us to boat cruise. In spite of the queue and the 15-minute bus ride in, we enjoyed the 90-minute cruise.

The highlight was a good look at an elephant family with two baby Babars enjoying the water.

We literally had front-row seats on the upper deck.

We queued up for a bus and eventually go aboard, arriving back in time to see the second half of a traditional cultural show.

Biju escorted us up the street to watch one more show, a display of Kerala's traditional martial arts - impressive! They claim to be the origin of all martial arts, and who are we to deny that?

It was then back to the hotel for another excellent dinner and bedtime. Another great day in Kerala.
