Bratislava Hotel Hopping: Sheraton to Doubletree

We bought a 72-hour transit pass here for 10 Euros each, about the same cost as one rip-off taxi ride.

We checked out of the Sheraton, walked across the street and one block over, where we caught Bus 78 to the Bratislava Doubletree, which is adjacent to the Ondrej Nepela ice hockey stadium, sports complex and tennis arena.

Its location may not be as favorable as some, but the property itself is beautiful. Although we arrived early, we were immediately checked in to a suite on the fourth floor and welcomed with a signature Doubletree cookie.

Once we've checked out our room, we'll probably head for the Old Town, either by bus or on foot (about a 30-minute walk).
