Taiwan: Overnight At Sun Moon Lake

We slept last night in the Hotel Del Lago, quite an excellent property.

We wandered around looking for a place to eat dinner and ended up in a restaurant just down the street from the hotel that offers a Thao-style dinner, the Thao people being the smallest of Taiwan's aboriginal groups.
We had to look up Hemiculter leucisculus back at the hotel. It's a kind of wild carp more commonly known as a Korean sharpbelly or a sawbelly. We each had a tiny whole fish on one plate, the smallest carp we've ever seen.

The presentation was fantastic, and the total cost of our meal was only about $14 U.S.

The only drawback was that it looked better than it tasted. Still, we didn't starve.
