Because of low visibility several flights back this morning, the plane scheduled to take us on the short hop from PVD to EWR is running about an hour late. If it's delayed further, we might miss our EWR-SEA leg.
We just talked to the gate agent. She has added Kathy to the final flight of the day to SEA, waitlisting Brian. She has also backed us up with seats on the first flight out of EWR tomorrow morning.
It's so pleasant to deal with such competent employees. We'll wait to see how the day develops. There's still a good chance we'll make the original flight, but it's a relief to know we have a fallback position in place.
